Easy to set up, great battery life, questionable accuracy

This watch was easy to set up and connect to the app it uses (the VeryFit app). The watch is comfortable to wear and I forget I have it on. After 3 days, the battery was still at 45% and this was with me turning it on a lot to look at it, start up fitness sessions, and asking it to read various metrics, so I think the battery life is great. The app is straight forward and neatly laid out, so the info recorded from the watch is easy to decipher. It also connects to Google Fit, so you can transfer your data to Samsung Health if you want.

-The step counter is fairly accurate once I am in motion, but it misses the first few steps I take after I get up from sitting or standing still.

-It also records phantom steps in the morning before I get out of bed (one morning it was 10 steps, the next 18 and another was 30).

-It missed all the steps I took in the middle of the night when I used the bathroom and got a glass of water from the kitchen.

-It did accurately measure the distance of the route I routinely walk outside.

-The HR and O2 reading match my O2 finger monitor and seem accurate, and it takes my HR continuously at intervals throughout the day.

-It does not read my oxygen unless I specifically go into the watch and tell it to “read my O2 right now.” It won’t randomly measure your O2 without being prompted by hand, so this means doesn’t record your overnight O2 readings while you sleep or while you are exercising.

-It also does something odd with my HR measurements (and this may be the way the app is programmed). My heart rate varies a lot – it spikes when I stand up (by 20 or 30 points) and quickly goes down once I am in motion or sitting down (POTS). The watch accurately shows these variations, but when I look at my raw data in the app, the data skips these periods of spikes in my heart rate. If it normally records data about every 10 minutes, it will have gaps during those spikes and the next recording will show at 20 minutes. So, my heart rate looks much more even than it is in real life which is not helpful to me.

-It thinks I have excellent sleep quality (the app has given me multiple awards) and sleep deeply about 55% of the night (which would be very high), when in reality I wake up multiple times a night. It also did not recognize when I was awake from 3am to 6am, unable to sleep and did not count any of the steps I took when I got up and out of bed for a few minutes.

-You can turn the watch off, but as far as I can tell, the only way to turn it back on is to start charging it.

I’m going to keep using it now until I get a different watch, but mostly I’m just using it to get a rough estimate of the steps I took throughout the day.

Update – my excitement is dwindling… The biggest reason for me in ordering this was to track my sleep – unfortunately it is turning out it isn’t very accurate and it isn’t registering my REM sleep. Thinking I was broken or not getting REM, I had my husband wear it and he had the same results… no REM. It seemed to pick up my deep and light sleep until I tested it and stayed in bed working on my computer after checking the sleep time (which seemed right) until it added my computer time to my sleep time. To be fair, I had a take home sleep study only to find they can’t determine when I am laying in bed vs. actually a sleep and that cost far more. Bottom line – not a medical device or totally spot on but it is kinda fun and thankfully the price is right.

I bought a fitness watch a few years ago and never made it past the set up cause frankly I am very technically challenged. Organized fitness also isn’t my thing so some of the options will never be used. That said, I had my eighty eight year old uncle get this set up with me and it was remarkably easy. They have a scan code that takes you to the site and from there it is 1,2,3.

The watch is comfy, seems pretty durable, and for someone who hasn’t worn a watch in a million years it is going pretty well. I love that it is waterproof and it seems pretty durable. I am not one to carry a phone with me and having the time handy will save me from bothering strangers!!

I have the pink one – and I am not really a pink person but if I hope to hang on to this it keeps my kids and hubby from stealing it. I actually like it as it is isn’t bright and goes well with my skin color. Super adjustible and I have thick farm girl wrists and it is perfect. This band will work with a wide range of wrist sizes.

You will read a lot of reviews on this.. and honestly this seller does a really good job describing it and providing pictures. Thus, the important things for this old lady is it is simple yet complex and has so many bells, gidgets and gadgets… there is stuff I will use and some that I won’t but all in all it covers my needs (sleep quality is a big one). It is crazy to me that something of this quality can be so affordable and while it seems tough it won’t be a heartbreaker if I lose or detroy it because it won’t cost an arm and leg to replace it. I am thrilled it will be sitting on my arm rather then stuck forever in a drawer.. Great buy!!

So why did I dock it a point.. cause dang it.. why do they have to make the numbers so small on the owners manual and the watch? The clock numbers are big but I need cheaters and I don’t often have them with me when out and about. To read the instructions we had to put cheaters over glasses but really that is the only con and doesn’t change how pleased we are with this. Pretty fun too exploring and something simple enough for evem me to figure out easily and confirmed my sleep problem.

I am a male Senior and have never owned a fitness tracker, although I am basically familiar with how they work due to my wife’s ownership of a popular model for several years. I was excited to receive the complimentary Toobur to try out for myself. I was skeptical that I would really get much beneficial use from it, but was pleasantly surprised re the different functions it has. I am not really concerned about how many steps I get in a day’s time, although that is tracked automatically. I do find myself checking my heart rate and oxygen level regularly, however I especially find the sleep monitor beneficial as I have been diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea but could not adapt to the nightly mask. The associated phone app makes using that feature and the watch in general much easier to to use considering I don’t have to try to read the small watch face to get results. The app also offers more options and details than the tracker does by itself, and it was very easy to connect, synch and use.

I was not crazy about the tracker face configuration, but soon learned there were lots of other options I could download free from the app. I found one much more to my liking. Although I don’t have a history with using other trackers, this Toobur seems to be great value, and from what I can tell, performs as well as or better than my wife’s, although her battery life between charges may be a bit longer. Overall I am very pleased with this tracker and now wonder why I waited so long to own one.

£36.99 with a £15 voucher at the time of review (clearly an inflated price and a discount code to make you feel as though you’re getting a bargain)

Overall, I have mixed feelings about this watch but it’s decent as a cheap alternative if you don’t want to splash out on a more expensive branded product.

Pros:
– Came packaged pretty nicely, it took seconds to set up and surprisingly it does have quite a few features you’d see on the more high end watches e.g. automatic exercise tracking, alternative watch faces and sleep tracker

Sleep tracker – I used to have a Fitbit and I loved the sleep tracking feature on there which I feel is missing with the Apple Watch I now have. I was surprised by how accurate it was, I remember waking up in the night for a few minutes and when I checked the tracker in the morning, it had pick this up

Lightweight – it is very lightweight and barely noticeable which is great

Battery life – lasted 3/4 days with no top up charge needed

Pairing – there’s a QR code and app which makes this a really painless set up process

Cons:
Tracking accuracy – i’m not entirely certain how accurate the step counter is, I wanted to test it and decided to wear it as I was getting ready in the morning so not 1000’s of steps but it should’ve registered at least 100 steps, when I went to check it, it said I had 0 steps for the day

Charger – the charger is specific to the watch meaning you need to have a specific USB plug (not included) to use this which becomes a bit of a pain if you have to switch over or go and buy a USB plug. There’s no reason this should charge on a generic USB-C charger

This fitness tracker is a basic, very easy to use device which is a great tough allrounder for everyday use, especially if you are worried about damaging a more expensive device during exercising/working etc.
The look and feel of the tracker is pretty sleek with a simple-to-use touch screen; it’s not too big and imposing and not too small that it’s difficult to see the screen. It’s also comfortable to wear and easily adjustable to fit just right.

The fitness tracker comes with a user guide, but I found it really easy to set up quickly without needing to take too much time to get familiar with all the instructions. The Very Fit app (installed it on my iPhone – so this works with both Android and Apple) is decent too, it’s simple and user-friendly, and what I like most is the jargon-free explanations of what the tracker is measuring e.g. light sleep vs deep sleep, oxygen level etc. and also compares to what’s ‘normal’.
The heart rate monitor seems pretty accurate too and I like the additional function of the stress-level monitor and suggested relaxation activity… functionalities like this make it far more than just basic measurements. There are also plenty of fitness activities you can measure under the ‘sports’ setting, such as running and walking. The device must be waterproof (as claimed) as there’s a tracker to record swimming activity.

One other improvement could be the customisation of the home-screen wallpaper. I added a photo which linked straight to my phone and was easy to do, but it’s not straightforward to add a battery life widget to the home-screen, so it’s hard to tell when I need to put the device on charge. Having said that, the battery has lasted 4 days already which is great compared to my watch which requires daily charging! Recommended!

So, something I didn’t expect from this, and I’m not sure why I didn’t, but, was the ability to change the “Watch face”, which although I dint for whatever reason expect it, I’m happy it’s there, because it means I can make the screen more of a style that I find easy to read quickly, which I like, because it means I can get info at a glance much easier, which for me is great.
So the screen itself is really nice I think, I find it super clear to read, it has nice separation and sharp clean edges on the text on screen, and when it is separated utilising a watch face that puts info up in different colours, I find it quick to read more than one piece of of information at a time, which means I don’t loose my concentration so much, and I like that.
This is such a comfortable “Fitness Tracker/Watch” to wear, I can barely tell I have it on my wrist, and I mean that in the best possible way, it’s there, but due to how light weight it is, and the smaller footprint it has on my wrist, it’s just not imposing or uncomfortable, in any way, even under heavy exercising, which I appreciate a lot, as I find things distract me if they are too heavy or cumbersome on my wrist as I run etc.
The sensors do a good job as far as I can tell, they seem to give me what I think is pretty accurate info/readings, and it helps me know what’s going on, in addition to that the fact that I can pair this to my phone using the App(iOS App Store), and keep track of my readings over time, check improvements etc, and it’s just very useful for me to see my progression, or, alternately if I’ve slipped off, and need to change up something to push more, which I find so useful.
All in all, this is a very comfortable, unimposing, way for me to stay on top of my fitness needs/actions, and it works well I think.
